Programme · Entry

A Long Weekend

Two to three nights · £800 per person · from Friday through Sunday or Monday

A proper introduction to the method, not a sampler. Designed so that a guest arriving on Friday evening and leaving Sunday afternoon has met Dr Prasanna, had two substantial treatments, slept two nights on Eight Sleep with temperature calibration, and received a personal sleep protocol to take home.

Length 2–3 nights
Programme fee £800 per person, programme guest only · bundled all-in
Full board stay £480 room + £225 food 2.5 nights · £192/night double room (incl. breakfast) · £90 lunch + dinner per person per night
Single occupancy · total ~£1,505 programme fee + room + food, one guest alone
Double occupancy · total ~£1,730 programme guest + partner sharing the room; ~£865 per person
What's included

Everything the weekend is built around.

  • Arrival consultation with Dr Prasanna — forty-five minutes of Ayurvedic intake, dosha typing, and programme shaping. The arrival is the most important clinical touchpoint of the weekend.
  • Two signature Ayurvedic treatments — full-body abhyanga (oil massage) and shirodhara (continuous oil over the forehead), drawn from the Ayush Spa treatment menu and matched to the arrival diagnosis.
  • DEXA scan — gold-standard body composition and bone density measurement, performed by our programme nurse at the Lido-designated room. This is the baseline that a guest who returns will measure against in future stays.
  • Medilab Tier 1 blood panel — an Essential screening panel covering cardiometabolic, liver, kidney, thyroid, inflammation, nutrient, and haematology markers, drawn on arrival. Bundled with a fifteen-to-twenty-minute Medilab clinician consultation walking you through your results before departure. The smallest panel that still tells you something you didn't already know — the foundation a returning Long Pause or Long Week guest measures against.
  • Eight Sleep Pod 5 cover on your bed — dual-zone temperature control and contact-free nightly tracking of heart rate variability, sleep stages, breathing rate and snoring. No wearable required.
  • Sauna, steam and hydrotherapy pool — part of the evening wind-down ritual in the Ayush Spa wing.
  • Introduction to contemplative practice — one guided session on pranayama, breathwork, and mindfulness drawn from the Ayurvedic tradition. The aim is a single technique a guest can take home and develop, rather than a comprehensive practice the weekend cannot deliver in three nights.
  • One health coaching session — a working session with our health coach to shape the post-stay protocol.
  • Personal sleep report, delivered at departure, auto-generated from the two nights of Eight Sleep data using our proprietary Terra-based sleep reporting software. Guests who already wear an Oura, Garmin, Apple Watch or similar can link it a few days before arrival for a pre-stay baseline. Includes a two-week home protocol.
  • Breakfast and dinner included at Kitchari; lunch is available from the longevity menu for an additional charge.
Programme economics

Where each part of the £800 actually goes.

A Long Weekend is sold as a single bundled fee — £800, all-in. Inside that fee, the money flows in three directions. £474 flows through to Ayush as the existing spa retail value of the included treatments. £105 flows through to Medilab as the indicative pass-through cost of the Tier 1 Essential blood panel and clinician consultation. The remaining £221 stays with the hotel and funds the new programme delivery — the DEXA, Eight Sleep tracking, the auto-generated Terra sleep report, the Health Coach session, and the post-stay follow-up. After costing those new items at £125, the hotel keeps £96 per booking — a 43% margin on the new-investment portion of the fee. The Weekend earns its own keep at the unit level while also playing its acquisition role as the first rung of the ladder.

The bundled fee is shown in three blocks. The first two are pass-throughs to third parties — Ayush spa treatments at current retail (May 2025 brochure) and Medilab Tier 1 bloodwork at April 2026 indicative pricing — neither of which carries hotel margin. What's left is the new-programme-delivery portion that funds the new clinical infrastructure, sleep tracking, coaching, and post-stay follow-up. The 43% margin on that residual is what the board's investment case rests on. Full per-tier panel detail is on the Medilab partnership page; the four-programme comparison and full methodology is on the Longevity page.

Guest itinerary

How a Long Weekend would run.

A proper introduction rather than a trial size. The weekend is paced so that a guest arriving Friday evening leaves Sunday afternoon having met Dr Prasanna, had two substantial Ayurvedic treatments, slept two nights on Eight Sleep, and received a personal sleep protocol to take home. The shape below is illustrative; actual timing would be shaped by the intake.

Friday

Day one · arrival

AfternoonArrive at the hotel. Welcome in the programme suite; orientation to the spa wing and what to expect across the weekend. DEXA scan scheduled for the following morning. Light Ayurvedic supper at Kitchari.
EveningEight Sleep first night. Temperature curve set to a conservative baseline. Overnight HRV and sleep-stage data begin collecting from night one.

Saturday

Day two · the full day

MorningArrival consultation with Dr Prasanna — forty-five minutes of Ayurvedic intake, dosha typing, and programme shaping. Breakfast at Kitchari afterwards.
Late morningDEXA scan at the Lido-designated room across the road. The baseline a guest who returns will measure against in future stays.
AfternoonFirst Ayurvedic treatment — full-body abhyanga, matched to the morning's diagnosis. Time in the spa wing afterwards: sauna, steam, hydrotherapy pool.
Late afternoonA Long Walk — a guided walk on the Jersey coast with a member of the team. Most guests take more than one across the weekend.
EveningDinner at Kitchari. Optional after-dinner session — either a philosophy of Ayurveda introduction or a guided pranayama and mindfulness session, depending on what feels useful from the morning consultation.

Sunday

Day three · departure

MorningSecond Ayurvedic treatment — shirodhara, the continuous oil flow over the forehead. The treatment most guests remember longest.
Late morningHealth coaching session — a working conversation with our health coach to shape the two-week post-stay protocol. Auto-generated personal sleep report delivered, drawn directly from the two nights of Eight Sleep data via our sleep reporting software.
AfternoonDeparture. Post-stay protocol sent by email that evening. Two video check-ins scheduled at two and four weeks.
