Borgo Egnazia Vair Spa.

A Pugliese borgo-style luxury resort with a structured wellness method codified by Patrizia Ronchetti. The most credible lifestyle wellness offering in the Mediterranean — practitioner-led rather than physician-led, with named multi-day programmes and take-home protocols.

Programmes offered.

The Vair Method runs as named programmes built on Patrizia Ronchetti's framework. Each programme combines an initial assessment, a structured daily schedule of treatments and movement, dietary guidance, and a take-home protocol — all delivered by trained therapists and specialists rather than physicians.

Flagship · 5–7 nights

Maravée — Sleep & Stress

From ~£6,500 (7n all-in)

The Vair sleep and stress-recovery programme. Initial assessment by a Vair specialist (HRV, stress diagnostics, sleep questionnaire), daily Vair-method bodywork including the signature pancafit (postural-fascial work), evening rituals supporting parasympathetic dominance, restorative yoga, and a take-home sleep protocol. The most-booked Vair programme.

5–7 nights

EnergySource — Vitality & Metabolism

From ~£7,000 (7n all-in)

A vitality-focused programme combining Mediterranean nutrition consultations, structured movement (HIIT, functional training, water sessions), bodywork emphasising lymphatic and circulatory activation, and supplementation guidance. Targeted at guests in mid-life energy slumps; the closest Vair programme to a longevity-style intervention.

5–7 nights

Pancafit — Postural & Structural

From ~£6,000 (7n all-in)

A musculoskeletal programme built around the pancafit method — a specific postural release technique using a wedge support to lengthen muscle chains. Combined with osteopathy, postural assessment, supervised movement, and a take-home daily exercise protocol. Genuinely effective for chronic back pain and posture-related issues.

5–7 nights

Pure Beauty

From ~£6,500 (7n all-in)

A skin-and-body radiance programme combining facial diagnostics, advanced facials (high-frequency, microcurrent, oxygen), body sculpting treatments, lymphatic drainage, and Mediterranean dietary guidance focused on collagen and skin health. More aesthetic-spa than clinical; popular with guests targeting visible results.

5–7 nights

Detox & Nutrition

From ~£6,500 (7n all-in)

A Mediterranean-style detox combining graduated dietary intervention (clean eating progressing to mild caloric restriction), bodywork supporting lymphatic and digestive function, supervised fasting where indicated, and post-stay nutrition coaching. Lighter than the Mayr fasting tradition; closer to a programmed clean-eating week.

3–5 nights

Vair Day & Short Programmes

From ~£3,000 (5n)

Shorter Vair Method tasters available as 3- or 5-night packages, suitable for guests combining a Puglia regional holiday with a wellness component. Includes the Vair assessment and a curated subset of treatments. Useful entry point for first-time guests.

Summary & comparison to The Long Week. Borgo Egnazia's Vair Method is the most credible practitioner-led lifestyle wellness programme in our competitive set — properly structured, with assessments, daily schedules, and take-home protocols. The gap versus The Long Week is the clinical layer: Vair operates with physiotherapists, nutritionists, and Vair-trained therapists; The Long Hotel operates with Dr Prasanna Kerur, Medilab Tier 3 bloodwork, and Eight Sleep diagnostic data. Maravée at ~£6,500/week is approximately 1.3× The Long Week at £4,995. A guest who has done a Vair programme and is ready for the clinical step up is a natural conversion to us.

Inspiration for The Long Hotel. Three Borgo elements worth borrowing. First, the method codification — Patrizia Ronchetti has built the Vair Method into a recognisable, named, trainable framework that Borgo can market as proprietary. The Long Hotel should similarly codify our approach into a named methodology (e.g. "The Long Method" — Ayurvedic-anchored, bloodwork-informed, sleep-first) so we can market it as ours rather than as "Ayurveda inside a hotel". Second, the signature bodywork as the daily anchor — every Vair programme has the daily Vair-method treatment as the spine of the week, giving the programme a memorable recurring centrepiece. We should designate a single named Long Hotel signature treatment delivered daily across The Long Week. Third, the cultural-spatial integration — Borgo Egnazia uses the village layout to create a sense of moving through different "rooms" of the experience (treatment areas, dining, gardens, beach), which keeps the week feeling varied and place-specific. The Long Hotel should design the Jersey campus similarly — clinical wing, food wing, sea-facing wing, garden wing — so the programme doesn't feel confined to a single building.
